Seventh Energy Efficiency Forum and Fair

As known, every year, the second week of January is celebrated as Energy Efficiency througout our country.

In this regard, Drs. Nurdan YILDIRIM OZCAN and Arif HEPBASLI from the department of Energy Systems Engineering along with Dr. Hacer SEKERCI from the department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering participated in the subject event (http://evf.gov.tr/), which was held at the WOW Convention Center, Yesilkoy, Istanbul, Turkey between 14 and 16 January 2016. At the exhibition stand, we demonstrated our study activities on energy efficiency and management implemented in our university and explained to exhibitors how we achieved TS EN ISO 50001:2011 Energy Management System Standard Certification.

The Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Dr. Berat Albayrak honored us with his visit to our stand. We emphasized that as Yasar University, we became the first university in Turkey to achieve TS EN ISO 50001:2011 Certification to the best of our knowledge.
